That site covers the Trade REST API, the Market Data WebSocket API, NinjaScript (C#) for NinjaTrader 8 Desktop, Web Trader indicators in JavaScript, and the Ecosystem marketplace. A coding assistant can ask it a question while writing a strategy, indicator or API integration and get back matching doc passages with links to their pages.
The endpoint describes itself as "fern-docs-mcp-server" version 1.0.0, so it is the search server built into the Fern docs platform that hosts the site, not a separate project to install. Its own manifest lists a single tool, searchDocs, marked read-only. It returns 8 passages by default and at most 20 when topK is set. It speaks streamable HTTP, and the manifest gives a ready Claude Code command.
Do not confuse it with NinjaTrader's trading MCP server, which is in beta. That server places orders and reads accounts, and it is described on the same docs site. This endpoint only searches the docs.
An MCP client that can connect to a remote server over streamable HTTP, such as Claude Code or Cursor. No account, API key or NinjaTrader install is needed, and nothing runs on your machine.
It has one tool and only searches docs.ninjatrader.com. It cannot read accounts, market data or orders, and it cannot run or compile NinjaScript. Results default to 8 passages, with a cap of 20 through topK. It is part of the Fern docs platform, so the tool set follows what Fern ships, not a versioned NinjaTrader release.
It suits developers writing NinjaScript strategies, Web Trader indicators or Trade API integrations who want their assistant to look up NinjaTrader's own docs with no sign-in. It reads only public documentation, so the risk is low. To trade, check positions or pull market data from an assistant, use NinjaTrader's official trading MCP server (official-ninjatrader-mcp in our directory) instead. That one signs in to your account and can place real orders.
