This server, published from the library's own repository as @ng-primitives/mcp and started as the ngp-mcp program, gives an assistant a structured view of that library so it can answer questions about it and write code against it accurately.
It has six tools. An assistant can list the primitives, filtered by category or a search term; pull the full detail for one primitive (entry point, exports, inputs and a usage example); list the reusable component implementations the project ships and fetch the complete source of one; get the install command and import paths for a set of primitives; and read a short setup guide. Typical uses are "show me the form primitives" or "add a dialog to my Angular app".
Everything it returns comes from JSON files bundled inside the npm package (primitives-data.json, api-data.json and reusable-components.json, read from disk in primitives-registry.ts), so the answers match the version of @ng-primitives/mcp you have installed rather than the live website. It speaks stdio only. The get_install_command tool always answers with npm install ng-primitives, because every primitive lives in that one package; it rejects names it does not know and lists the valid ones.

Node.js with npx, for the npx -y @ng-primitives/mcp command. No account, key or network service is needed once the package is downloaded. Most useful inside an Angular project that uses or plans to use ng-primitives; the library's schematic (npx ng g ng-primitives:mcp-setup) can write the client configuration for you.
Only covers Angular Primitives: it knows nothing about other Angular UI libraries or your own components. The catalogue is a snapshot bundled with the installed package version, so primitives added later appear only after updating @ng-primitives/mcp. The tools return text and code; none of them edits your project or runs the install command, so applying changes is left to the assistant or you. stdio transport only, with no HTTP mode.
Angular developers building on ng-primitives who want an assistant to pick the right primitive, use its real inputs and exports, and copy the project's reusable component patterns instead of guessing. It is local, read-only and needs no sign-in, so it is easy to add per project. Pick something else if you use a different Angular UI library or need general Angular or web documentation, since this one only answers about Angular Primitives.
