KoliBri is an accessible web component library published by the public-ui project. This server, the npm package @public-ui/mcp, gives an assistant a searchable copy of KoliBri's own material, so it can find a real example before writing markup for a component.
It holds two indexes, both shipped inside the package. One covers component samples, scenarios, specifications and documentation pages, searched with fuzzy matching and fetched by ID (for example button/basic or spec/button). The other covers files from the KoliBri template repositories (generic, react and theme), which can be searched by text, resource type, template type, repository or tag, and fetched whole with their code blocks pulled out. It also exposes resources for server info, version and a short best-practices guide.
The makers recommend a hosted endpoint at https://public-ui-kolibri-mcp.vercel.app/mcp with nothing to install. The same package runs locally over stdio with npx or as the global command kolibri-mcp, and its dist/mcp.mjs file starts a self-hosted HTTP endpoint on port 3000 (or PORT).
The source at version 4.5.0 registers six tools: search, fetch, search_templates, fetch_template, list_template_tags and list_template_types. The README's tool section still documents a hello_kolibri greeting tool that this version no longer registers, and leaves out the four template tools (mcp.ts at 4.5.0).

Hosted use needs only an MCP client that speaks Streamable HTTP. Local use needs Node.js with npx, or a global install with npm install -g @public-ui/mcp. No account, API key or KoliBri project is needed.
It serves only KoliBri content: samples, specs, docs and template files indexed when the package was built, so a local install answers from the version installed while the hosted endpoint follows the latest release. search returns 10 results by default; search_templates returns 20 by default, up to 50 with limit (mcp.ts at 4.5.0). If the template index fails to load, the server starts with an empty template index. The README's hello_kolibri tool does not exist in 4.5.0.
Suits developers building interfaces with KoliBri who want their assistant to copy working examples instead of guessing component props. The hosted endpoint is the quickest start; the local npx way suits offline work or keeping queries off a third-party host. It is read-only and needs no keys, so there is little to set up. For other component libraries it has nothing to offer; pick a server for that library instead.
