What it does

Maz-UI is a Vue.js and Nuxt component library, and this package is a small local server that gives an assistant its documentation. The library's own author publishes it from the Maz-UI monorepo as @maz-ui/mcp. It runs over stdio on your machine through npx.

There are three tools. search ranks matches across components, guides, composables, directives, plugins and helpers. It returns 10 results by default, and you can raise that to 50 with maxResults (the cap is set in src/mcp.ts) or narrow it to one category. get_doc returns the full page for a single item. It accepts aliases such as maz-btn or MazBtn and suggests close names when nothing matches exactly. list shows everything that is documented, grouped by category with counts. The same pages are also available as MCP resources under maz-ui:// addresses, for example maz-ui://component/MazBtn or maz-ui://guide/nuxt.

The documentation files are built into the package (its package.json ships a docs folder), so what you get matches the Maz-UI version of the installed package (4.9.3 at the time of writing). It is useful when you want an assistant writing Maz-UI code to check real prop names and usage rather than guess them.

What it needs

RuntimeNode.js

Node.js with npx. No account, API key or settings are needed. It is only useful for projects that use the Maz-UI component library for Vue or Nuxt.

Limits

It covers Maz-UI's own documentation and nothing else: it does not read your project, generate components or run code. Search results are capped at 50 per call (10 by default). The docs come with the installed package, so they can fall behind newer Maz-UI releases until the package updates. The README's VS Code section says you will be asked for a personal access token, but the server takes no token or settings at all.

Who it suits

Good for Vue or Nuxt developers who build with Maz-UI and want an assistant to look up components, composables, directives, plugins and helpers while it writes code. It is read-only, runs locally and needs no sign-in, so it is low-stakes to add. If your project does not use Maz-UI, it has nothing to offer you; use a documentation server for the library you actually use.
