Settings 2

EDGEONE_PAGES_API_TOKEN Optional: EdgeOne Pages API token; needed only for deploy_folder_or_zip.
EDGEONE_PAGES_PROJECT_NAME Optional: Existing project to deploy into; when unset, each folder deploy creates a new local-upload-<timestamp> project.

What it does

EdgeOne Pages MCP is Tencent EdgeOne's npm package edgeone-pages-mcp, a local stdio server that puts content an assistant has produced onto EdgeOne Pages, Tencent's edge hosting platform, and hands back a link to it. It has two tools. deploy_html takes a full HTML document as a string and publishes it as a single page; deploy_folder_or_zip takes an absolute path to a built frontend folder or a .zip file, uploads it to EdgeOne's object storage and creates a production deployment in an EdgeOne Pages project.

The two tools work differently. deploy_html needs no account: the code asks https://mcp.edgeone.site/get_base_url for an upload address and posts the HTML there, tagged with a random installation ID that it keeps in a file named edgeone-pages-id in the system temp folder (tools/deploy_html.ts). deploy_folder_or_zip needs EDGEONE_PAGES_API_TOKEN. It tries the Tencent Cloud China API first and then the international one, and uses whichever accepts the token. Without EDGEONE_PAGES_PROJECT_NAME it creates a new project named local-upload-<timestamp> on each call. With the setting, it updates that project, and fails if no project has that name (tools/deploy_folder_or_zip.ts).

Its makers mark this package as soon to be deprecated. Its npm README points to edgeone-pages-mcp-fullstack as the full-featured stdio server, and the GitHub repository's README now describes a newer package, @edgeone/makers-mcp. The code on the repository's main branch is still this package at version 0.0.16.

What it needs

To run it yourselfNode.js 18+

Node.js 18 or later (the command runs through npx). deploy_html needs no account. deploy_folder_or_zip needs a Tencent EdgeOne account with EdgeOne Pages and an API token in EDGEONE_PAGES_API_TOKEN. The folder or zip must already be built, because the tool uploads it as it is and runs no build.

Limits

Marked by its makers as soon to be deprecated, in favour of edgeone-pages-mcp-fullstack. deploy_folder_or_zip refuses symbolic links, both as the path it is given and anywhere inside the folder, and refuses folders with more than 1,000,000 entries. It always deploys to the Production environment. When the project has no verified custom domain, the link it returns is a preview address with a time-limited eo_token access token, not a permanent URL. deploy_html publishes one HTML string, so assets must be inline or loaded from elsewhere. The hosted endpoint offers deploy_html only. There is no tool to list, update or delete earlier deployments.

Who it suits

Suits someone who wants an assistant to put a generated page or a built static site online quickly on Tencent EdgeOne Pages, with no account needed for single HTML pages. If you want the server its makers now recommend, pick edgeone-pages-mcp-fullstack, which we also list and which its makers call the full-featured server, or the newer @edgeone/makers-mcp. If you host on another platform, this server is no use to you, because it only deploys to EdgeOne Pages.

Tools 2

deploy_html
Publishes one HTML document given as a string and returns its public URL; no token needed.
deploy_folder_or_zip
Uploads a built folder or .zip by absolute path to an EdgeOne Pages project and returns the URL and project details; needs EDGEONE_PAGES_API_TOKEN.
