What it does

SEED Design is the design system built by Daangn (Karrot). This server, published by the same team as @seed-design/docs-mcp, gives an assistant structured read access to that system's public documentation so it can write code against the real component APIs instead of guessing.

It covers five documentation sections: react (the React component library and its API reference), docs (design guidelines and foundations such as color, typography and spacing), breeze (ready-made utility components), ai-integration (guides for MCP and llms.txt) and lynx (the Lynx framework). An assistant can list the documents in a section, filtered by category, fetch a single document, or pull a whole section as one text. It can also read Rootage files, the JSON specs behind the design tokens and component definitions, and browse or search the icon set.

Everything is fetched over HTTPS from https://seed-design.io; the base address is fixed in the code (constants.ts) and no setting changes it. Responses are held in an in-memory cache of up to 100 entries for five minutes (fetch.ts), so a docs change can take that long to show up in a running session.

What it needs

RuntimeNode.js

Node.js with npx (the package runs as a stdio server). Outbound HTTPS access to seed-design.io, where every document, token spec and icon index is fetched from. No account or key.

Limits

It reads only the public SEED Design site; it cannot reach a private fork of the design system or point at another docs host, since the base URL is hard-coded. list_icons returns 50 icons by default, up to 200 with limit; search_icons returns 20 by default, up to 100 (icon-tools.ts). Several section and category descriptions in the code are written in Korean.

Who it suits

Front-end developers building on SEED Design (Karrot's React components, tokens and icons) who want their assistant to consult the current docs while writing UI code. It is read-only, needs no sign-in and runs locally, so it carries little setup. It is of no use for other design systems.
