What it does

Electerm is an open-source terminal, SSH, SFTP, Telnet, serial, RDP and VNC client for Windows, macOS, Linux and mobile platforms. A built-in MCP Server widget exposes Electerm's own APIs to MCP clients, so an assistant can list open tabs, open a local terminal, send commands to a terminal and read its output.

Optional tool groups add bookmark management, SFTP listing, upload and download, Zmodem transfers, quick commands, history and settings.

Install Electerm from its releases or homepage, then open the Widgets panel, choose the MCP Server widget, set options and click Run. The server listens at http://127.0.0.1:30837/mcp by default (host and port are configurable) and speaks JSON-RPC over HTTP with SSE; add that URL to your MCP client.
