claude mcp add --transport http --scope user summer-games https://mcp.summer.games/mcpcodex mcp add summer-games --url https://mcp.summer.games/mcphttps://mcp.summer.games/mcphttps://mcp.summer.games/mcpSummer Games is a game store and social app run by Summer Labs. This hosted MCP server, at https://mcp.summer.games/mcp, connects an AI app to one player's Summer Games account so it can act as that player: check which friends are online or playing, read and send direct messages, handle friend and rival requests, and get a group into a game together.
The party flow is the centre of it. Asking the assistant to invite someone to a game starts a party if the player is not in one, sets the game when the player leads the party, and sends the invite; it can also accept or decline party invites, see who joined, chat in the party and leave it. Beyond that it reads the profile, notifications and party state, finds a player by exact @handle or friend code, finds a game by name, compares stats and rankings with a rival, edits account settings such as display name, language, region and push notifications, and can open a page (store page, library, friends) in the Summer Games desktop app without pressing anything there.
Sign-in is OAuth against api.summer.games. The endpoint's protected-resource metadata (https://mcp.summer.games/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp) names two scopes, player:read and player:act, the second covering the actions that send or change things. In clients that render cards, a party card polls every 20 seconds and reports when a friend joins.
This is the player-side server. Summer's game engine has its own, separate MCP server for building games, installed through the summer-engine CLI.
A Summer Games account; players under 13 have no friends, messages or parties, so those tools do nothing for such accounts. An AI app that can add a remote MCP server by URL with OAuth sign-in. ChatGPT needs Developer mode turned on under Settings, Apps, Advanced settings, and plan availability varies. Codex needs `codex mcp login summer-games` after adding it. Claude on a phone gets it only after adding it on claude.ai or Claude Desktop. Opening pages in the app needs the Summer Games desktop app installed.
By its makers' own list it cannot buy anything or spend Sparks, close or delete the account, block, unblock or report players, change family or parent settings, play or act inside a game, or see other connected apps. Players can be found only by exact @handle or friend code, not searched by name. The @handle cannot be changed. Direct messages go only to friends, and a connected app may use at most half of the account's rate limits. A connection that is unused for 30 days has to be connected again. Its pages publish no list of tool names.
Suits a Summer Games player who wants to coordinate play from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Codex: see who is online, message friends and send party invites without opening the app. Nothing runs locally and there is no key to manage; sign-in is OAuth. It acts with the player's identity and sends real messages, so it suits people who review what the app proposes before confirming. For building or testing games in Summer Engine, the separate summer-engine server is the one to use; this one only reaches the player account.
