What it does

Context Hub is a collection of curated, versioned documentation for APIs and SDKs, written in markdown and kept in a public GitHub repository, plus the chub command-line tool that searches and fetches it. Its README says it is meant for coding agents rather than people: the agent looks up current docs (for example OpenAI chat or the Stripe API, in a Python or JavaScript variant) instead of guessing from memory.

The npm package @aisuite/chub installs two commands: chub, the CLI, and chub-mcp, an MCP server over stdio. The server exposes search, get, list, annotate and feedback as tools, and the registry of entries as a resource. Docs can be fetched whole or one reference file at a time.

Annotations are local notes an agent attaches to a doc; they persist across sessions and are only included on later fetches when asked, as they are treated as untrusted input. Feedback is an up or down rating sent to the doc's maintainers.

It needs Node.js 18 or later and no account or key. Docs come from the Context Hub CDN by default; a config file at ~/.chub/config.yaml can add other sources, including a local folder of docs.
