What it does

Attio MCP is the MCP server Attio runs itself at https://mcp.attio.com/mcp. You connect a client to that address, sign in with your Attio account, and the assistant then works inside your workspace with the same permissions your Attio user has. There is nothing to install or host.

Its 42 tools cover the main parts of the CRM: finding, creating, updating, upserting and merging records of any object (people, companies, deals, custom objects); managing lists and their entries; comments, notes and tasks; searching meetings, call recordings with their transcripts, and synced emails, both by metadata and by topic; workspace members and teams; aggregate reports; and read-only SQL over workspace data on the Enterprise plan.

The endpoint's sign-in metadata (/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource) names app.attio.com as the authorization server and offers the scopes mcp, offline_access and openid. Calls are rate limited per workspace in tiers that share a bucket: 100 requests a second for reads, 25 for writes, 5 for merges, 300 a minute for metadata searches, and 2 a second each for semantic search, reports and SQL.

What it needs

An Attio account in an active workspace, and an MCP client that can add a remote server with OAuth sign-in (Attio names Claude Desktop, Claude.ai, ChatGPT and Cursor). In Claude and ChatGPT it is added from the client's connector or app directory by searching for Attio. The query-particle-sql tool needs Attio's Enterprise plan.

Limits

Hosted only: there is no package or source to run yourself. It reaches one workspace, the one you sign in to, and only what your Attio user may see. SQL is SELECT-only, needs the Enterprise plan and is capped at 2 queries a second; the underlying Query SQL endpoint stops queries after 30 seconds. update-list-entry-by-record-id fails when the record has no entry or several in the list. delete-comment works only on comments you wrote. Calls over the per-workspace tier limits are refused until the bucket refills; the tiers are shared by every tool in them.

Who it suits

Teams already on Attio who want an assistant to look up accounts, log notes and tasks, move pipeline entries or pull reports without writing API code. Because it is Attio's own and signs in as the user, it suits people who would rather not issue API tokens. Pick a self-run server instead when you need to run it on your own machine or control which tools exist: we also list community-built Attio servers, such as attio-mcp-server (npm attio-mcp), that are not published by Attio.
